Bed cover, made in a traditional handmade technique called “cutwork”
It’s related to an appliqué- two layers of two shaded cotton cloth. In this case off
white and white are attached on top of one another, designs drawn and cut along
the patters on the top cloth, then by hand, all edges are finely turned in and in
the process stitched onto the bottom layer. In this case, a contemporary modern
look is combined with this ancient and extremely artisanal technique.
